Burger King Beefs Up Global Opertions - Case Study Example Burger King was able to configure and coordinate its value chain by supporting local suppliers that has met its global specification and standards. It also seeks to build its own infrastructure if the there is no existing value chain infrastructure in a market that it intends to operate. This ensures that its supply chains deliver goods and services quickly and cost-effectively (Raman and Narayanan, 2004) to serve its market. It also seeks to have committed local franchisees to coordinate its value chain and if there is none, Burger King is willing to own up its value chain. Burger Kingââ¬â¢s chain activities that creates value for the company is its willingness to own up and invest on its own value chain if there is less commitment among the local partners that it intends to operate. 3. Its most obvious advantages are that it will spend less for product awareness because earlier entrants have built awareness and demand for fast food. Brands are important to cultivate in any given market because it adds value to the product it is selling and also enable companies to sell at premium prices.
